Better than ketchup. Spunkier than mustard.

Carolina Zinger is a spicy condiment for the whole plate. Tomato and mustard seed share one squeeze bottle with a hint of real Carolina Reaper, so you get the tang of mustard, the body of ketchup, and a little heat that shows up late and leaves politely.

Fries, tenders, burgers, hot dogs, pulled pork. One bottle doing the job of two.

Where it goes

  • Fries. It takes the ketchup's spot. Most people don't go back.
  • Chicken tenders. Dunk, don't drizzle.
  • Burgers. Under the patty, so it soaks into the bun.
  • Hot dogs. A stripe right down the middle. Chili, slaw and onions are welcome to join.
  • Pulled pork. Somebody tried it at the ballpark. Now it's a thing.

What's in the bottle

A tomato and mustard seed base with a hint of real Carolina Reaper. Vegan and gluten free. 12 fl oz squeeze bottle. Heat: 4 out of 10, which we call approachable.

How it's gone so far

We debuted Carolina Zinger at a Durham Bulls game and people kept coming back to the table for more. Then it became our fastest seller yet at the NC Hot Sauce Festival: 8 cases gone in one afternoon.

Questions people ask

Is it a hot dog sauce?
It's great on a hot dog, and that's where a lot of people start. It's just as good on fries, tenders, burgers and pulled pork.

What goes on a Carolina hot dog?
The classic Carolina dog is chili, slaw, onions and mustard. Carolina Zinger takes the mustard's spot and brings tomato and a little Reaper along with it.

Is it a mustard or a ketchup?
Neither, and a bit of both. Tomato and mustard seed share the base, so one squeeze covers what used to take two bottles.

How hot is it?
A 4 out of 10. There's real Carolina Reaper in there, but only a hint. It's built for the whole cookout, not for a dare.

Is it a hot sauce?
No. It's a spicy condiment, made for squeezing, not dabbing.
